Issaquah Salmon Days has been recognized both regionally and internationally for its festival marketing and promotional campaigns.Each year Salmon Days competes in the Washington Festival and Events Association Summit Awards with events from around the state in the highest dollar category which includes events such as Anacortes Arts Festival, Sequim Lavender Festival, Tacoma Events Commission, Fremont Oktoberfest and The Bite of Seattle.
Salmon Days also competes on an international level by entering in competitions organized by the International Festival and Events Association. In this competition, Salmon Days is in a budget category with events such as the China Hohhot Zhaojun Art Festival, Yichang, Hubei China, Borderfest in Hidalgo, TX and the Edmonton Heritage Festival in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
